Case study: Marsilli S.p.A. open-pit mine

Case study: Marsilli S.p.A. open-pit mineSet up in 1945, Marsilli S.p.A. in Rovereto (ITA) has expanded to the point where the company now occupies an area of 21,000m².

A dust-laying sprayer suppresses the main sources of dust, providing optimum emission control.

The average amount of water deposited on the treated area of 2,300 m² is just 1mm per hour! This prevents puddles from forming on the ground and wetting the material.

The control software has a user-friendly interface, enabling fully automatic use of the fog gun for optimum dust control in the quarry.

Dust measurements carried out by an independent firm () prove that the majority of dust emissions can be suppressed by optimizing the water input, tailoring the droplet size to the specific application and automating the system.

Today the employees, abutters and the environment all share the joy of clean working conditions and minimized dust emissions
